  • There was a general theme in Nice with the museum, generally they were disappointing, there was just mainly lacking in substance. I felt with this museum they could have actually had more going on, it...  more »
  • I did not used to leave negative comments, but I would like this facility management to fall on this notice and review their hosting policy. The recent Museum is a beautiful exhibition space, the architecture is elegant and sober. I saw the exhibition William Klein, who is a photographer that I like and which I had already seen two expos. This one was a surprise for me that didn't know the images of the Nice Carnival. A nice surprise also because there are more images than I had imagined going. However, hospitality is simply unacceptable. It starts with the teller: a prison door, is would be raw to the FCA or the unemployment office in the 1980s. I inquire, however, by buying my ticket - 10 euros-to see if there is a lift, because the Museum is on two levels, I'm with my girl of 18 months in a stroller, and the cashier replied in the affirmative. I could barely get excited first photos that a museum person came up to me to tell me that I must drop my stroller under the stairs to upstairs. To my surprise, the employee tells me that the elevator is reserved for prams. Always before my increasing surprise, I am told that my daughter is not a baby and she can walk. I said that the Museum was almost empty and had no people in a wheelchair or other carriages that we could compete... While the employee has finally allowed us the use of the hoist, this home simply ruined the visit. Impose on relatives to get out their child under the age of two years in their stroller, it's condemn them to go after them and prevent them from touching the works rather than peacefully enjoy the exhibition. It is simply incomprehensible and so out of step with what is happening in other museums!

  • The Museum is worth the detour for the interest of the proposed exhibits and for their development. However a that greater effort must be made to improve the reception. The person has box office posted the biggest irritation when I asked him the Pass museums for Niçois residents and has demonstrated an almost comical unwillingness. Be aware also that if you have a baby that the guardian of the Museum deems walk (in our case a child of 18 months who was trying to doze off), you will need to leave the stroller on the ground floor for the visit of the 1st floor , either with your baby in my arms, holding it by the hand. It has also notified to us of the rudest ways.

  • Interesting but not extensive
  • Unusual exhibitions but never spectacular.
  • I went to see the "Jacques Henri Lartigue, le siècle en positif" exhibition and i absolutely loved it. The exhibition itself is really lovely, a nice exploration of bourgeois life from the early 900's to 1980, all see thought a very delicate eye. The Museum itself is a gorgeous place and interior decoré is really charming. The staff is super friendly and very helpful: a monsieur paced the rooms regaling visitors with tidbits about the exhibition, he was so in love with his work that you couldn't help but be transfixed by his words.
  • A must for anyone interested in photography as an art. Has different exhibitions at different times , the one I saw was women, muses and models.
  • Mediocre work, small collection.

Where to stay in Nice

Places to stay in Nice fall into two groups: those inland and those near the coast. Luxury hotels line the coastline and offer water views and beaches. For less expensive options, check out the hostel and private apartment offerings farther inland around the city center. Consider renting a furnished apartment with a sea view for a longer stay.
