  • We enjoyed a lovely walk up to the museum from our hotel in Avenue Jean-Medecin. To see the works of this great artist in a purpose built location was a treat. I especially enjoyed the film, in which ...  more »
  • This museum is unique in that it was designed while the artist was still alive. This he got to weigh in on how the displays and rooms were set up. The artwork is very interesting to see come up with a...  more »
  • I walked so close to the train station. Too much detail because the Japan hardly go to the Museum of fine arts is not very good. Decorated painting brightly colored opposite as a simple look. Guide to Japan to be more deeply, you will understand. One picture and put many things and many times the same picture we had new discoveries. I also have no interest in the arts.

  • This museum is so well done, it is no wonder that Chagall himself had a hand in building it. The biblical theme of the work, from the Song of Songs, lends an almost cathedral-like quality to the atmosphere. The video is quite good, worth waiting if you missed the timing. The video is shown in French and English. I loved the mosaic the most, but was confused why the pool was dirty, since it was Chagall's intention that the colors of the mosaic be reflected, and I think you would need a clean white floor for that. There is a lovely, tiny cafe on the grounds that makes for a great spot to rest at any point. Excellent gift shop. A lovely visit!
  • Great, welcoming staff and complementary audio guides make the experience hugely engaging. The art is incredible and the building and grounds totally beautiful.
  • There is a great exhibition, but a problem in the operation that is personified vested. It is better to run entrusted to the high brand companies. Or to buy tickets on Sunday admission free, or needed a ID to rent audio guide, trouble often.
  • I really like Chagall's work, maybe because be manages to squeeze so many themes and references into each painting - it gives each one depth or at least there's a lot to find and explore. Different from a lot of "one thing" pieces of modern art where yes you can have many of perspectives on the piece but it's still only one simple thing that you're looking at. The museum is great itself - comfortable spacious galleries.
  • There's hardly a bad thing to say about this museum except that the parking can be difficult. So after finding a spot multiple blocks away, enjoy the walk and take in the beauty of the inside.
