Musée Marc Chagall, founded in 1973, houses some of the best works of Marc Chagall. Chagall himself guided the architecture of the museum. Note the mosaic arching over a pond, and the blue stained glass that adorns the walls of the concert hall. View a famous series of 17 religious paintings, which Chagall offered to the French state in 1966. The museum hosts exhibitions on world religion, as per Chagall's wishes. • It is great. To show only the work related to the Bible. Fee is 10 Euro including the Japan Guide, with Mike. Very helpful in knowing and works, it is absolutely necessary. You can take photos of works, all once commanded the Flash,. … People all of a sudden I'm stood out of China and Korea. Can see no ropes and not enclosed in a case, so work just around the corner, is the charm.

  • If you visit Nice, it is a must see for you. It is a museum you can not find anywhere else. Do not forget to bring and ID because without audio guide, art works are meaning less for most people.
  • I really like Chagall's work, maybe because be manages to squeeze so many themes and references into each painting - it gives each one depth or at least there's a lot to find and explore. Different from a lot of "one thing" pieces of modern art where yes you can have many of perspectives on the piece but it's still only one simple thing that you're looking at. The museum is great itself - comfortable spacious galleries.
  • Enjoyed the exhibition but the overall experience was a little spoiled with an impatient and rude old French lady cashier in the museum boutique. It takes 10 minutes to buy a book with a super slow credit card machine and she acted as if it was the customer's fault.
  • A beautiful museum dedicated to and designed by Chagall. Love the artist's work, and we enjoyed the museum very much! They also had a film showing in the theater depicting his design of costumes for ballets and operas, and showed a film of the ceiling of the Garnier Opera in Paris, which we saw in person earlier in our vacation.
  • A nice, simple museum showing some of Chagall's work. It's really beautiful and has a nice park nearby. I highly recommend if you like art museums.
  • This is a wonderful museum especially considering it is dedicated to a single artist. Because Chagall had a hand in the design, you really get an understanding of his work.
