Maison Auer is a beautiful chocolate shop. We went just to look. Display cases are antiques. I did not buy any chocolates but shop is very inviting.
Auer has amazing chocolate and candied fruit. Also delicious in combination like our favorites dark chocolate over candied orange or ginger.
We LOVED this place! We stopped in with our tour guide Nadia, of Nice Food and Wine Tours. My husband's parents met in Nice and his mom learned how to make the preserved fruits and candies there. Mais... read more »
The chocolate is amazing - one of the best I've ever had.
Vincent ValdebordeExcellent welcome by a staff smiling and always available. Which corresponds to the excellence of the products offered. Buy and then enjoy the morning nature croissant or a chocolate croissant is a delight. Superb establishment which brought honour to the profession and to the city of Nice.show original

Mic LAMAuer! Customer twenty years ago, I was regaled me with with your speciality the TANGERINE or CLEMENTINE CHUTNEY with a piece of melon and some candied orange. At the time I was told, to my delight "gourmand" how this speciality were made. Last week I left €80 Mandarin confit for my mother... And although Mr AUER despite your great reputation, your beautiful store, I confess was extremely disappointed by the quality of these mandarins, too cooked hard and brown skin and without any taste. I speak of the good taste of clementine believed that there were at the time. Melon (can be pumpkin... who knows?). When to candied orange, a citrus fruit, impossible to know if I goutais a lemon, grapefruit, or something else, but who knows what. I appreciate the good things and am not against to pay for quality. But I can't stand to have provided by traders, artisans seeking profitability at the expense of quality with their brand image. Twenty years ago you loved what you were doing. Today you look a little too close your bank account. I am very back up against you, and it will be with great pleasure that I will make a comparison with your Florian competitor for example. Finally, I'd love to come see you to make you taste supermarket products you have in your showcase.show original
