  • Visited with a passionate guide, the tour of simple walls in stone (but great round tower!) becomes very interesting with a historical review on the life in Nice and the battles that took place there.

  • For those who like Nice and its history is a must. Cheap and guides very nice and well documented

  • The guide to knowing his subject, it was easy to travel in time. Already, down the few steps equivalent to about 5 meters we find ourselves in 1706. Then we discover the extremely well-preserved ruins of this famous crypt and the ramparts. We learn that on the orders of Louis XIV that the walls were destroyed. The guide tells us about the Duke of Savoy in the war against Louis XIV. On a photo we see the bugadières washing their linens on the banks of the river paillon, whose part is trapped in the crypt. Finally the remains of the aqueduct that allowed the invaders to attack the city from the inside. All this on a surface of 2000 meters square

  • Interesting tour. There are layers from middle ages, back to 11 hundreds, and further back all there. The guide was very good, and seemed to know a lot. Tour is in french, but the guide kindly gave us an English summary at each step in the tour. Not very interesting for younger kids, especially if they don't speak French . But good for adults.
  • The guide explains the luminous scenography has taken water twice in one year and will not be replaced. Result, we are left with a guide that asks us to imagine what it was beautiful with the lights. This place gives a picture of the establishment of the city of Nice from the beginning but disappointed by its ridiculously small course. This isn't really a must visit.
