  • We heard about it from French friends & since we enjoy the La Brea Tar Pits / G. Page Museum, thought we'd see it since in the area. So glad we did as the collection is huge, well laid out & presented...  more »
  • A museum I have visited during my childhood, we learn a lot of interesting things. Access is simple and attractive entrance.

  • We enjoyed this Museum for the richness of its collections (the remains of boats, particularly) as well as the architecture of the Museum in him even (and yet, I'm not "fan" of modern architecture...) which is entirely at the service of the collections. The rooms are as many flags, nested in other, bright, each as sometimes open on courtyards, kinds of zen gardens evoking landscapes from different prehistoric periods, sometimes on the surrounding forest where you can sometimes guess what seems a rock shelter or a primitive camp! We were expecting a small museum with two bones and three pebbles, in the end, we spent several hours there, and intend to go back at any time! I have indicated that we can go there without a car, but that's all many times not just close to the station (3/4 hour to feet by walking fast). otherwise, there is a bus from the train station or the city centre.

  • Interesting but lacks a bit of interactivity for children

  • An outing for the family at very affordable price. The guided tour is interactive, we never get bored.
