Categories: History Museums, Museums
Varied artifacts from past centuries come to life at Lapidaire Museum (Musee Lapidaire), an archeological museum that allows you to examine artifacts from prehistory, ancient Greece, ancient Etruscans, ancient Rome, the Gauls, and paleo-Christianity. In addition to the impressive collection of artifacts, including vases, statuary, lamps, tombs, and more, you will find interesting architecture as well. The structure was originally a Jesuit church and offers a good example of 17th-century Christian architecture. The museum also hosts a number of visiting exhibits from around the world.
