Access by tram is by the "50 hostages" station, the market is 100 meters. Stalls of fish, meat and vegetables are the main attractions of the place. There are of course other types of commerce (linen, Bazaar,...). The products are fresh, shellfish are alive guaranteeing quality by the way. The prices are interesting. Oysters from Noirmoutier in number 3 is a real killer! I could compare with the numbers 4, and frankly for one euro more of the dozen, you better wear his choice on the numbers 3. The wild prawns are excellent, their size is impressive... Atmosphere on Sunday where we feel the flow of the small crowd around the stands of reference. I came in spotting the day before to discover the places, you will not be disappointed. Conviviality, abundance, quality and cleanliness are the hallmarks of this market...

There is not so many choices on this market which is just very popular because in the Centre of Nantes and with many merchants. Everything is overpriced and the quality not necessarily the appointment. Pity there is not more Merchant "exotic" type Asian, Turkish, Greek, Lebanese, Indian. Many butchers, cheese, a lot of merchant of fruits and vegetables and 2 Baker. Huge waiting at each display and everything is 25% more expensive than in other markets. If you have money to blow... cheap!

It is Nantes oldest and main market. One can find all traditional and fresh products from seafood to fruit, cheese and so on. Nice to visit

A market for the foodie...huge selection of typically French food direct from the growers. Some other stalls including clothes, hats and shoes.

So many seafood not expensive... but be careful of the kids who are "begging" for your money...

A great typically fresh market to find specialties and superb local products
