The gardens are worth a visit as you walk along the river. The Japanese theme is good and pleasant to view. Tip, there are public toilets available which is always Handy when out walking.

A beautiful quite park which takes me back to Japan. It's lovely to see different culture is Nantes. It's a lovely walk with a cute cafe and play area for kids. Shame there is a bunch of teenages...

Nantes does an excellent job of providing calm, tranquil green spaces, combining art, and nature, in a central urban location. We loved exploring, and hired a boat to take a short trip up the river.

A very soothing place with gardens and a small spring at the center. Designed as a Japanese garden, it calms you within minutes with its serenity and closeness to nature. Loved it!!

It was Easter school holidays and the little island was mobbed with children of all ages - not really the chilled out Japanese garden I was expecting. The planting was lovely - with maples and cherry blossom - but just too noisy to appreciate its beauty
