CNCS - Centre National du Costume de Scene has a mission to preserve the heritage of over 9,000 costumes from the drama, opera, and ballet theaters. It is the first conservation initiative that is entirely devoted to costumes and stage sets. You can view costume collections, join a guided tour, and enjoy the historical cavalry barracks dating back to the late 18th century in the Quartier Villars building that houses the museum. Interesting in itself but ultimately disappointing because we expected a lot of this visit and thought that there are other visible permanent collections. No luck, the new exhibition starts on 15 October... We will come back. Small flat on the price: the same that we have access to the entire museum or only the small exhibition...show original

Martin AnneMoulins is a beautiful two-hour city and a half trying to Paris! The CNCS brings together the costumes the Paris Opera and the Comedie Francaise that we never see. RUDOLF NUREYEV permanent collection alone is worth a visit. By train we did go back in the day, we remake! ANNE.show original
