La Villa de Seviac, Montreal-du-Gers

#6 of 11 in Historic Sites in Gers
Explore the residential ruins at La Villa de Seviac. The remains of the luxurious Gallo-Roman villa date back somewhere between the second and seventh centuries with Merovingian vestiges. Entrance is free to the vast thermal complex with heated rooms, wading pools, and a swimming pool. Admire the marble and the mosaics decorating the area. Leave time to visit the galleries around the courtyard, which feature mosaic floors. Beautiful restoration site of a Roman villa. Good guide. Very nice mosaics. A ticket grouped with Treasury of Eauze and Cieutat site allows to better understand the lifestyle of that distant time.
