Château de Flaugergues, Montpellier

(180+ reviews on the web)
Garden Historic Site
At Château de Flaugergues, you will find a great storehouse of preserved antique French furniture and Flemish tapestries. Builders designed the castle to complement the different terrain levels and created garden areas to give a greater sense of space. The facade includes a doorway with Doric pilasters and rose-sculpted metopes. Inside, admire the massive staircase that takes up nearly one third of the interior space, complete with hanging key vaults and forged iron banisters. Although the architecture is the main draw, consider visiting the vineyards too. Using our international travel planner, Montpellier attractions like Château de Flaugergues can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

  • While it is not a castle and more of a manor, it is still full of history. The gardens were also very interesting. The wines were excellent and we had plenty of help explaining the different options. ...  more »

  • The website is misleading. We arrived in the morning to be told the chateau is not open to visitors until 1500. We then paid 8 Euros to see the very ordinary and not particularly well kept gardens. Very disappointing. This is obviously a chateau for wine tours and nothing else!
  • It says that is open everyday but when I got there they told me that the next available visit for the Chateau was in four days, and today I could only visit the garden
  • cool cool cool cool!!! 😂😂😂😃😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😇😇😇😇
  • Home telephone tie! It's a shame because the framework is superb.

  • The place is very nice. The owners are lovely. You must have lunch at "bistronomic" restaurant menus are very good, reasonable prices. The wines are good. The visit of the garden is lovely any time. I recommend.
