  • The entire island and all structures are very impressive. Very serious fortifications combined with beautiful architecture. Well, if you add the message to the Mainland was only at low tide, the island was in the old days the inaccessible fortress for the enemy that the rocky soil broke grounds, built houses, Church, etc, then just Diva dajosh'sja, as it was possible. It is now a very popular tourist destination. There is something to see! There are souvenir shops, and restaurants and hotels, and a public toilet. At the entrance to the island all the bags of visitors checks outfit of the gendarmerie (the terrorist threat throughout France)

  • Beautiful door serve as a entry to mont saint Michel proper. I'm not quite sure, but it looks like typical medieval construction, very picturesque.
  • It is the door where is access to the medieval city and from where one narrow and steep street full of shops and restaurants you reach the Abbey. The door is of thick wood located on a stone wall with arch of half point and shield at the top. It is very well preserved.
