  • This walk fleurie at the entrance of the Aureilhan-Mimizan Lake is a wonder, a delight that is renewed each season, depending on the species. The creators (of the geniuses!) have been able to plant dozens, or even hundreds, of shrubs and plants, more or less exotic flowers (the mildness of the climate protects the gel) along the avenues that lead to the Lake... Benches allow to rest and admire the beauty of the site... Must see (and again depending on the season.) ...

  • Beautiful ballad, almost too short, we want more! Dozens of species of different flowers with small signs, very well kept place. We're almost surprised that the entrance is free. Beautiful view on the Lake.

  • Impossible to count the various plants and species found on this bucolic walk, leading on the pretty spectacular view of the Lake. Do and redo.

  • Nice cool place to walk or read
  • . . I like Mimizan a lot, despite the pong you sometimes get from the Papeterie Gascogne. But the very very best of Mimizan is this Promenade Fleurie - the Floral Walk. We go to it whenever we're in the area - can't wait for next summer! It's free. It has parking. At the other side of the little river, 2 minutes' walk from the car park, there's somewhere you can have a picnic. It's just lovely! It's a small park - only about 500 metres by 30 metres, alongside the lake. It has two paths, there and back, lined with flowering shrubs and exotics. You see the lake, you see ducks, you see and smell the flowers - it is a great experience. It is not in Mimizan-Plage but in Mimizan-Bourg. As you drive alongside the Lac d'Aureilhan, in a SW direction, you'll see a signpost to it on the left (lake side). You drive for 200 metres up a suburban road, and there it is. You could combine this with a picnic, and then go and hire one of the little electric boats that let you glide over the lake almost silently, really appreciating the peace and quiet. And end up with a swim from the little lake beach. A great day out. .
  • Beautiful botanical trail. A must see. Free. I recommend the hotel restaurant next door for coffee ice that are delicious. The espresso is just the real and served Italian, so with a glass of water. Had a very nice time on the terrace. We had picnicked in the shade of the pines next to where there are several specific tables.

  • Great place full of colors and scents, a treat for the eyes and the rest of the mind while walking in the gone. Great for the children, but watch for strollers has small wheels is the gravel in the aisles (but thin). And when only the wind comes from the sea we feel stationery :-(
