Chateau de Meursault, Meursault

(3.1/5 based on 320+ reviews on the web)
With a rich history dating back to the 11th century, Chateau de Meursault has been producing signature wines since the seventh century. Walk the cellars under the château evacuated by the Monks of Cîteaux that often contain up to 700,000 bottles and 2,000 barrels of wine. Your tour includes an introduction to more than 60 hectares (148 acres) of vineyards, the art gallery, the making of their signature "Coeur d'Honneur" wine, and a sample of seven select seasonal wines. • The lady who introduced us to the good, the situations, and the wines have been extremely patient. She spoke no German, though, tried to speak but slowly and for us to understand French. English goes. The chateau is located inside the new expansion, we will examine the reconstruction in the autumn. The locality is maintained inside and outside very nicely. The wines are top notch and at the tasting was saved with high-priced wines or finds. A great compliment and a hearty Merci.

  • This is a beautiful chateau in Meursault with a pretty tour and, of course, fantastic wines for you to taste.  more »
  • The castle of the Meursault is an institution so it is wise to book the visit in advance, some hours are often full. The visit with tasting of 7 wines costs € 21,00 per person, there is a € 25.00 with 9 wines, including 2 Grand Crus, but in my opinion not worth the difference. The cellars are staggering and walking in the hallways filled with bottles is very suggestive. The tasting is rather fast but still allows to have an idea of basis of the wines of the estate which has vineyards in different areas of Burgundy.

  • Nice place, guided tour with tasting of 25 euros. Tests can be excellent in front of the entrance at a small domain (beautiful wines) and no 25 euro tour
