Le Chemin du Calvaire, Megeve

(140+ reviews on the web)
Historic Site
Fourteen chapels and oratories represent Christ's passion at Le Chemin du Calvaire. This pilgrimage site, constructed by Ambroise Martin, was built to simulate Jesus Christ's suffering on Calvary in Jerusalem. Walking to the site gives time for quiet meditation, but to get inside the chapels, you'll need to arrange for a tour guide. On your way out, look for "Le refuge du Calvaire," a small restaurant with a terrace. Put Le Chemin du Calvaire on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Megeve vacation route planner.

  • Very welcoming. Value interesting, especially when compared with the other restaurants nearby.

  • Affordable prices, ultra friendly and present for the service, boss is homemade, including the plateau of pies the day that sits at the entrance, made during the afternoon, very warm atmosphere, all in a unique place, away from the "excitement" of the village. A truly timeless moment, a must to be missed if you go to Geneva! The little extra? Sales exhibitions of local artists.
