  • Marseille is full of secrets that are happy to discover and here is one that deserves to be seen! This museum offers temporary exhibitions of great qualities. I've seen "Raphael Ponson: light and sweet" and "Wonders of Orientalism". The works on display are original and their exposure is very good. (Light, staged...) The Museum is a reasonable size to give it at least an hour. For my part, I stayed an hour and a half taking my time. Probably victim of its famous neighbor across the street (MUCEM), the Museum was very little frequented. This isn't yet the rate (€6 50 full price) who must stop the visitor. It's actually a Museum of a very good quality/price ratio. A tiny shop offers simple and responsive memories (books, posters, postcards, magnets,...) at affordable prices. The Museum also has a café but which was closed for vacation during my visit. I really recommend a visit to this place if you are interested the expos, coupled with the basket, the Major, the MUCEM or any other activity proposed by the district.

  • This is a museum where the welcome is warm, almost friendly, where the place is bright, whose location is just across the MUCEM, and exhibitions are very interesting (I saw three since its opening), well presented, with works of quality in a coherent and harmonious whole. We always too early, out with the immediate desire to return.

  • Bravo for your exhibitions on our painters Marseille and Provence, of Raphaël Ponson with magical vision of our sea, our creeks, Ziem, via Garibaldi, Guigou, Courdouan, and so many other magicians of light of our Provencal schools. Wonders of Provence and Mediterranean. A museum open to the outside, it's magic, even if natural light can sometimes hinder (but just change angle of view) and the restoration of this Art Deco building is superb. .. .and the annex restaurant is great to prepare for the visit, or end it with a nice little table on the Bay of Marseille. I forgot, perfect wheelchair access!

  • This museum is the Museum of Provencal painting in the region. Our Adviseurs recommend you visit.

  • Small pretty nice Museum, with some interesting pieces. Things to do if you are in the corner. Go your way if you are that for a few days in the region, there is so much better to do...
