Nouveau Stade Vélodrome, Marseille
(4.3/5 based on 700+ reviews on the web)
A symbol of the city's cultural life, Nouveau Stade Vélodrome is one of the most iconic monuments in the region. The venue for the Olympique de Marseille soccer team, it has also hosted the 1998 soccer World Cup, the 2007 rugby World Cup, and many other sporting events. Until recently, it was the largest soccer stadium in France, seating more than 60,000 spectators. In preparation for a 2016 championship series, renovations limited the structure to 42,000 people. Post-renovation, more than 67,000 can enjoy sports here. • Around pretty much graffiti, locals seem careful at night. We recommend you take a taxi. Pause was because Marseille launched was a great stadium.

  • Without being very football-oriented, this stadium still worth. A leader of architectural work who has thrilled thousands of fans during the Euro. Guided tours of the office of tourism will make you discover the stadium which can accommodate more than 65000 people.

  • The only soccer game I ever attended was Aug. 2015 in the magnificent Vélodrome. All seats have wonderful views and it's easily accessible by mass transit. Overall, a great experience.
  • Amazing Stadium. I'm glad I came after the refurbishment. Very clean inside and everywhere offers a good viewing platform. Two metro stations nearby are also handy for getting there from the centre of Marseille.
