History Museum Museum
La Marseillaise is the patriot song of the revolution and the adopted French national anthem. The Mémorial de la Marseillaise is a tribute to the past and an inspiration for the future. The museum divides history into three sections – Pre-Revolution, the Revolution and Post-Revolution. In the Pre-Revolution section, you see newspapers and other peripherals that showcase Marseille before the revolution took place, it also shows you the lead up to the revolution. In the next section, you are animatedly introduced to the heroes of the revolution and the struggles they faced. In the last section, you are taken through a very special presentation of birth of the French Republic.
