Calanque du Sugiton, Marseille

(4.7/5 based on 340+ reviews on the web)
The Calanque de Sugiton is one of the numerous calanques located between Marseille and Cassis. While quite small, Sugiton is perhaps the most known of all Marseille Calanques, simply because it can be easily accessed by hikers, starting from Luminy University Campus, and because it is open to tourists even during hot season, unlike most Calanques. In fact during summer most of the Calanques are closed because of high fire risk.A small beach can be found at the extremity of the calanque.

  • After a descent one "little hot" you get to the calanque of sugiton, a Cove well shaded by pine trees where it is good to rest face off, to the great candelle and needles cut like lace in the limestone urgonian with green touches of vegetation in front of a small island "the torpedo" youth take it stormed to perform dives into the deep blue sea the swimmers make the turn. We do not get tired, but consider the 1-hour walk back to the parking lot

  • one of the most beautiful Cove, but it's merit, take good shoes! the reward is on arrival... But for the lazy or the Corsicans, the arrival by boat is so much nicer!

  • In my eyes the prettiest and certainly the sportiest ;) Like all creeks, walking is required! A breath we romps! one enters the national park of the creeks in Luminy. the path is accessible to everyone in terms of ride, bikes, sticks of walkers, sneakers and shoes! It thickens then... Cove or belvedere? the question arises depending on whether it is sports and in love with reliefs or we appreciate the pleasure of a cautious ride! well, it takes 45 minutes of romps, the rise is not as: think back! but overall well shod and hydrated on the day it's an extraordinary moment. I'm a fan of breath! the show is wonderful! Dear visitors... enjoy, appreciate and enjoy again! just a little thought on your part so that our nature is also beautiful to your departure to arrival, thank you. < 3
