  • I went for the first time a few days ago to the castle of sales. I came here a bit uncharacteristically because I accompanied a friend craftsman who was to meet with officials. While they were discussing, I was able to walk on the terraces, admire peacocks, I had never approached them to also close, watching the swans in the great room of water, contemplate the great stone of the Castle façade. Enjoy the quiet places of the view over the fields and the village of Mane. It was magical. I was not able to visit the Interior, but I saw him through the windows. I never thought that a beautiful place exists in this region. The stairwell and the lounges have splendid air, the french art and know-how of the 18th century are there. I recommend to all lovers of ancient monuments.

  • I visited the castle of sales in family a few months ago and I was truly fallen under the charm of the place. I went back recently, taking with me the members of an association which I am a member. We have retained the proposal guided tour of the Castle followed by breakfast in the Orangery (I said this isn't a restaurant open all the time but a reception room that the owners rent to occasions or that they use for groups on reservation receipts). I had the same emotion that a few months ago while I already knew the places, and my friends are them also fell in love. Breakfast, very good Moreover, enabled us to prolong this moment after the visit, and feel us a little at home for a few hours. I would recommend again to see this castle if endearing and so surprising in this region, and I would recommend to people who can come in groups to have lunch before leaving with the feeling of having really good nice hours.

  • Do AB-SO-read-ing! I ate lunch at the Orangery of the castle of sales with the members of the association of which I am part. We had booked a guided tour of the Castle followed by lunch formula. How fabulous to see Castle! What a story! What beautiful furniture! What a job! What beautiful park! And what a meal then in the splendid Ballroom adjacent to the Castle, served by valets uniformed in time! A real dive in time! A sumptuous and refined meal prepared by the head chef of the Castle and I remember! I will come back to discover this place to my grandchildren as soon as I receive them on vacation!

  • wonderful garden and very well-preserved castle ! the owners do everything on their own and nowadays that essentially means they struggle, but still the result of their work is very impressive ! also, they are very passionate about what they do, so if you want a great history lesson from someone with an excellent sense of humor, take the castle tour, too !
  • Majestic and green place that contrasts with the arid landscapes that surround it. An excellent guide accompanied us in an exciting tour. Tip of the hat to new owners who were able to revive this place with a passion.

  • This family visit was a pure delight. Thanks to the talent of historian and storyteller of our guide, we have learned a lot on the history and more particularly on the relationship between Provence and the Kingdom of France. The passion and the tenacity of the last owners make us admiring. They knew patiently restore piece by piece this magnificent building, the gardens and the water. This work continues through the acquisitions of furniture and the decorations of origin that had been scattered. It's a real piece of paradise in a barren landscape, with a beautiful view of Forcalquier and the village of Mane. The PACA region and the Department of the Alpes de Haute-Provence can be proud of this heritage and the work done by the patrons.
