Late deal to take our young family away (8 & 5), was not disappointed! Stayed in private villa with own pool (not heated!) and centrally located close to the numerous amenities. So much for families t... more »
We played an early flight (07.30) and the course was quiet and we'll maintained. This is not a course for the faint hearted. Slope index of 144 for the yellow tee. Especially hole 11, a 180m par-3 cro... more »
A nicely situated, challenging golf course usually battered by the Mistral. Price, but well worth a visit. more »
Very nice situated. But, we had trouble talking at breakfast on the balcony due to heavy drilling when building new houses. The builders also worked on Saturdays. The apartment was good even though we were supposed to get a flat near the centre. We did not. The golf course was nice but was not in a professional standard. The sand bunkers had not seen a rake this season and the grass on the edges of the bunkers were growing wildly. The greens was OK even a little long. Maybe end of May is a little bit early for the season but greenfee was high season. Think again before you book this visit.
used the golf course, visit the restaurant but din't use it because after 20 minutes still no service received. The waiter have spoken with us but also after asking still didn't give the menu or deliver any kind of service. The golf course is in the area of the Vacance center. The road are very close to the golf course and sometimes you have to play your ball by crossing the road where cars are riding. If you want to practice than you first have to drive with your car to the Driving range which takes about 5 minutes. I don't recommend this golf course to somebody who is looking for an area with some rest.
The resort is nice in many ways. It is huge with many activities for all ages. If you don't ever want to leave the resort you can pretty much find everything right there. There's a restaurant, cafe, small grocery, church, laundry, daycare and even a market on Thursdays (and I think Saturday). There's a heated pool, many walking paths, and of course the golf course. We did get an activity sheet, lots of things to do, but we opted for sightseeing outside of the resort. Parking wasn't free, €8 I think/day, and Internet wasn't free either, €15/5 days. We only stayed three nights but it was cheaper to pay for 5 days. Here's the downside of the Internet... we were in the village and the only way to get Internet was if you go to the lobby. I didn't know until after the purchase. So here's me, the online instructor, teaching in the middle of the night at the hotel lobby. If you're a hotel guest, Internet is in the room. Also, a friend stayed in a newer area, a condo-like house with 3-4 bedrooms, and Internet is on site. But if you're in one of the village houses around the reception area then you'd have to go to the lobby. While the rooms/house was small it suit our purpose. We could cook too since there was an equip kitchen - no oven though. The rooms were clean but I think a bit of a makeover soon would be nice. Overall a great place to stay in the center of Marseille, Aix, Avignon and the lavender fields (blooms marvelously the first week of July). There are so many great villages to visit - ya know, those pretty villages up on what seemed like rocky hills. We went as far as Gordes and that was nice. Wish we had more time! It rained the two days were were there so our sight seeing was cut short and so we spent a lot of time in the room and the cafe.
Beautiful championship golf course. Marvelously maintained; not for beginners.
