Les Halles de Lyon – Paul Bocuse, Lyon
(4.2/5 based on 1,600+ reviews on the web)
Les Halles de Lyon – Paul Bocuse is a covered marketplace with over 50 upscale shops and restaurants. Newly built in the 1960s, this is also a market with the best of Lyon's ingredients for the city's famous cuisine. Sausages, dumplings, and snails are hung, iced, and arranged just so to lure your eye away from competing vendors; this isn't the original market, but a reconstructed version. The original was built in 1869, but later was demolished. The locals missed a market where they could purchase the best goods directly from the origin, so it was reconstructed in its full glory and with modern improvements, such as spacious walkways. • We went there on our last day in Lyon. A busy satirday morning and we loved it. Everybody slurping on oysters, drinking aperitifs. Its perfect to take goodies home if you visit Lyon by car
  • A magical place, a real Cave of Ali Baba of the food. The good gastronomy of Lyon is gathered in this place. A bit expensive but the quality is there. You can also have lunch.

  • Great place to buy delicious French cheese or a good bottle of wine, meat, local pastries and bread. And also you can simply come to eat with your friends.
  • An amazing market focusing on high end cuisine. Opening times are short for lunch (12 - 2) so be sure to check ahead of time so that you don't miss out
  • Great food market that's endorsed (and owned) by Monsieur Bocuse himself. Lovely to roam around in search for delicacies, but the food is generally pricier than other sources in the area. Great way to get all you need and more though!
  • You can find all kind of delicious foods, wine, deserts here. High quality and expensice as well.
  • Set in the culinary world capital, Lyon, this unique market offers the best of the best for any foodie. Go!
