  • One more place to visit in Lyon to learn more about the city culture and history, how it became the center of silk production in Europe. A guided visit is recommended, as the guide also explain the me...  more »
  • Maison des Canuts-very small museum, just two rooms. If it were not for the mother-in-law, who commented, each exhibit ("we have houses loom was more", etc.), it would be quite boring. The entrance fee is 2 €, time to work-from 10:00 to 18:30. Next to the Museum there is another entrance there organized an excursion for a large number of people, so we have not got there. Perhaps, there is more interesting. But the Museum, in which we have got better come only if you are already in Lyon all watched.

  • Fabulous small museum. Worth it for the demonstration of an original jacquard weaving machine (I think this happens at 3.30 each afternoon). The gift shop sells nice scarves
  • Very interesting museum. Offers information in various languages.
  • The history of silk in lyon. Also the history of technology with Jacquard. If you plan to visit lyon you have to go there.
  • Better to be interested in the subject, otherwise it's a bit austere. It should be noted the high quality of the guided tour. The players are passionate and we see no time pass all learning a lot of things.

  • I was very disappointed. The place is tiny and there's finally enough little things to see. These are mainly large panels to read.
