  • Wanted to see a variety of products in silk. Many were made of wool. Waste of time. Would not have gone if I new that.
  • Very interesting with a guide exciting. The guide gives a demonstration of weaving which allows to better understand... and discover that weaving is one of the last stages of the realization. I discovered how the Velvet was made (unexpected). Really exciting (to be seen in conjunction with the Museum of silk)

  • Must visit but too crowded! No private tour! The history of Silk weaving is told to us. From the breeding of silkworms to the demonstration of the operation of a Jacquard machine. This historic site was at the end of the nineteenth century the seat of the Union of workers weavers and similar. At the heart of the canuts district, it is the heritage attesting to the great adventure of the Lyon silk.

  • Fabulous small museum. Worth it for the demonstration of an original jacquard weaving machine (I think this happens at 3.30 each afternoon). The gift shop sells nice scarves
  • Very interesting museum. Offers information in various languages.
  • The history of silk in lyon. Also the history of technology with Jacquard. If you plan to visit lyon you have to go there.
  • Better to be interested in the subject, otherwise it's a bit austere. It should be noted the high quality of the guided tour. The players are passionate and we see no time pass all learning a lot of things.

  • I was very disappointed. The place is tiny and there's finally enough little things to see. These are mainly large panels to read.
