  • Many things to see, to do, to understand: information on the construction, materials; audio clips of runners off the coast; the life of Tabarly; Racing miniatures in basin; the movies in 4 D, and mythical sailboats... Very interesting.

  • Visit interactive and interesting, especially if you have kids (games, tests, etc.). However, I find the expensive price of admission (although I understand that the cost of operating such a facility is high). Moreover, I had visited the 1st version and I have not seen huge changes. Finally, the Lorient (we) have no seems to know the city of sailing, it's a shame!

  • For a first discovery, it's a bit technical. I think for children less than eight years old the price is expected to be moderate, because except fans of sails, they are not very interested. Not enough fun for young children.

  • Idéalement placé dans la rade
  • Very nice museum with a lot of material available in French, English and Breton. Numerous interactive displays.
  • A visit to the curious who want to see behind the scenes of the middle of the race offshore. I tried with children out of an hour at sea or at least in the Lorient roadstead. I recommend it highly great memory with a sailing instructor that has well initiated and discover the roadstead and its history.

  • Very nice Museum on modern sailing, to better understand the current boats. Educational and fun, with also a very beautiful space on Tabarly, informative. Various activities (control of model and real ship, games on the maneuvers) are well done. A nice experience.

  • The Cité de la Voile is a magnificent museum devoted to sailing and regatta at sea. The visit is very interactive, you can touch to many things, and experience some manoeuvres related to sails, ropes... Some digital animations to compete between friends. A 4 d Simulator puts us briefly into the skin of a participant in the Vendée Globe. In addition to visiting the Museum, you can do a guided tour of the pontoons dedicated to racing boats. During our visit, few vessels (in full transat, they would not expect ;)), but the guide was quality, we giving more details on each boat, and when we well describing the differences between each class of sailboats.
