  • The shrine, in addition to beautiful, architectural and historical wealth has very important. Remember that St. Thérèse was a Carmelite nun from the Catholic Church and why oPapa Brüggen, who had canonized Teresa day 17 May 1925 and considered the star of his pontificate, demonstrated his desire for it to be built a shrine to her there in Lisieux, where she served. Work began in 1929 but due to World War II and other factors was completed only in 1954. Today the Basilica of Lisieux is the second most popular destination of pilgrimage in France after the shrine of Lourdes

  • The shrine is illustrious. We see him from afar, since it is on top of a hill. The access is by a staircase, which at the same time allows us a broad view of the region. Outside we also see the belfry, with pictures of the parents of Theresa. Very pretty. Inside is amazing. Illuminated, clear, colorful ... Fully lined for mosaics, that show us images, characters, years and saints. On the side h; the small chapels assembled by several countries (Brazil is there). I was a long time admiring the details. Underground a beautiful chapel, also in mosaic, Charming.

  • Basilica of St. Thérèse of Lisieux - J'adore
  • Very impressive church. The crypt only has the remains of St Teresa's parents. Her specific body, lies elsewhere in the city and not on the grounds of the basilica.
