  • Begin the tour by the film (26 minutes) that explains the the porcelain production (50% + 25% + 25% quartz feldspar kaolin). The Museum was founded by Tiburce Morisot, the father of the painter Berthe Morisot and prefect of Haute-Vienne. It was chaired by Adrien Dubouché (1818-1881), cognac dealer and who married Ermance Bisquit. Superb collections of ceramics (including the faience) from all countries (Faenza, Delft, Nevers, Rouen, Lille, Marseille, Moustiers-Sainte-Marie) without forgetting the porcelain (Japan, Vincennes, Sevres, Paris). Those Limoges are exposed on the top floor. Very friendly staff.
