  • Very nice presentations on resistance in general and more particularly in the Limousin with storefronts well stocked weapons, objects and clothes can not remain indifferent and out of the Museum head full mark on mankind

  • Quite remarkable Thomas Duranteau February 10 to May 21, 2018, a temporary exhibition is proposed. A lot of emotions in the creations of this artist with many facets (see thomasduranteau.com). I have found personally exceptional work of this artist and attached a photo warrant to order the catalogue of the exhibition. The permanent exhibitions are always also instructive in this Museum, which has benefited from an expansion between 2009 and 2012 as part of a renovation of the museums of the city decided by political powers.

  • At the heart of the District of the city, this municipal museum made live the memory of the historical facts during the 2nd World War and the Resistance in France and Haute-Vienne. A learning path, with many documents of the period. The permanent collections are regularly associated with temporary exhibitions.

  • This is a great museum. It has a lot to read and a lot to learn about. It is very interesting. If you want to know about WWII and how Limoges was involved, defiantly give it a try. And it's free if you are younger than 26!!
  • Very interesting museum which tells the story of the occupation of France during the Second World War. The museum specialises in the history of the resistance activity in France during the occupation and talks about many aspects of this. They focus also on local history during the war which is a topic I was not aware of. They have a mixture of information formats including exhibits/video/audio. If you don't speak French I advise that you pay an extra 2 Euro for the audio guide.
  • Well worth a visit when in Limoges, it contains a lot of interesting displays and a good audio visual guide, very informative.
  • Correct
  • Well displayed museum, and probably intetesting facts, but if you don't understand French very well, you get frustrated and confused.
