Named for the two majestic stone lions guarding its entrance, Eglise St. Michel des Lions was constructed between the 14th and 16th centuries, resulting in an iconic example of Gothic architecture. The church features a bell representative of the Limousin region and a metal ball crowning its highest peak. Relics of St. Martial, St. Loup, and St. Valerie are contained in a decorative altar that depicts the life and miracles of St. Martial.
