Down the street from the butcher shop, this beautiful chapel is moving by its small size, however, it lack of ventilation and is therefore a bit 'stuffy' in hot weather, but it has quickly made the turn.

At a street corner, we discovered this Chapel. St. Aurelian is the patron of the butchers, and was built thanks to donations from the butchers who had their own place of worship because Catholics, not part of the world of the butchers, saw a dim view this corporation (the blood was impure for Christians). These details we were given during the visit of the Museum of the butcher, to flawlessly during your stay in the area.

The chapel Saint Aurélien is related to the history of Limoges. The great history and the political throes but also of history and tradition butcher of this emblematic district of the city. This very enclosed fraternity in his caste is still extremely active on the life of the city by its lobbying. The 15th century chapel houses the remains of St. Aurelian patron saint of butchers. The Chapel, she, is private and without particular style presents a rich votive this butcher corporation history and some charm. The story you will be can be told with many exciting details by passionate people. Don't miss if you visit Limoges.

This Chapel of the 15th century serves as sanctuary for 2 ° Bishop of Limoges, St. Aurélien. The first being, for the record, St Martial. She has the distinction of belonging to a private entity. Despite this it is still consecrated, and the place of religious ceremonies. Its bell tower is particularly interesting, and inside will most certainly appreciated by connoisseurs. Truly worth it. What is more, she if located in the "old Limoges" with the famous street of the butcher shop two, dating from the middle ages.
