  • A great place to visit in the Vendee. Takes longer than expected as there is an variety of timespans in different halls. Set in unusual imaginative surroundings. Very popular.
  • It is both great and both present with INCREDIBLE gaps. Of course, you can spend a day is there we're interested in the history of the Vendée, there is such a wealth of events and characters to present, but the big downside is the Organization of the presentation. It starts very wrong with prehistory (since we're going in chronological order), we enter this part and we are plunged into an INCREDIBLE twilight, it is impossible to read the explanatory sheets on and in windows: (1) because it's poorly lit, (2) because it is written MUCH TOO SMALL and (3) because an adult has to bend to decrypt (these cards are 1 m , 1 m 20 of the ground and that they don't come to me to tell me it's done on purpose for children, it is much too sharp for small (NB when I went there, there was a class of children 9/10 years and none took the trouble to read these sheets). However, there is a didactic room very well done on the different aspects of marine life that is reserved and like them very much. The other hand, I have to admit that updates in scenes and sets, as well as interactivity are remarkable (simulation of a flight in a helicopter - in a real "alouette" is simply bluffing - overview of 11' of the Vendée happening on a giant screen at 3-4 metres in front of the chopper in which can be mounted (I got very lucky, virtually no one in the Museum in this mid-October) no hope of summer and WE enter the camera, must stand at the side and is much less realistic because in the chopper, there really seems to be in reality). The various periods of history are well presented with small films and characters. For a lover of history and heritage is one treat for others, must be considered a minimum because an hour might be tired, I have seen many people who even stopped in the various rooms.

  • A good time spent with family. The children's Museum had a lot of succesnotamment, navigation on the fishing boat. The kids loved: the rise of the locker with plenty of fish and l climbing the boat pirate. The conduct of the small sailboat in a snowstorm has also had great success. When the next Vendée Globe? The father loved the fun course by time accessible to children through decorations and entertainment for all ages. To visit!

  • Extremely interesting place, multiple reconstructions on history from the stone age up to our days through the Vendée wars, in the form of circuits by eras, many video rooms, small alcoves to listen to comments, we spent 4 hours without suspecting, and we saw everything...
