Le Puy du Fou, Les Epesses

The historical theme park Le Puy du Fou is immensely popular for good reason--it brings periods of history to life through performances of epic proportions. By day, you can watch as gladiators fight for their lives, musketeers engage in swashbuckling sword fighting, and Vikings rise out of the lake on their ship to ransack a village right before your eyes. At night, the main show comes alive behind the ruined castle, depicting 700 years of history. The Cinéscénie dazzles you with its award-winning pyrotechnics and exquisite choreography. More than 1,000 actors, including children and live animals, perform this massive show on an outdoor stage that many boast is the largest in the world. Headphones provide English translations of this and many of the main attractions. Shows sometimes sell out weeks or even months ahead, so book your tickets to the park and the performances well in advance. • The Puy du Fou is an institution for me, I go every year (with my family next door is not complicated why not). This year we wanted with my spouse, to discover the Park and the Cinéscénie to my brother-in-law and rediscover my sister who's had not come since 10 years! Always as much wonder and emotion in the face of this park of excellence: tackling fighting, training the horses, dogs, and Raptors in respect for the animal, the courtesy of the people in charge of the traffic of visitors not always disciplined, girls of the home... Pfffff! All this makes me want to say "Thanks!". Thank you for what you gave to the people who come to see you and who leave stars in the eyes. Thank you for making l "history of France another thing than a vulgar dusty boring Museum. Thank you for the soul and the heart you gave! A success to the French who deserves his success after 40 years of adventure! Special mention for the lovers of Verdun, who will give a tear or at least a ball in the throat in good number of those who will spend; at last Panache to its staging and sick engineering; the ball of birds ghosts always breathtaking! And should I talk about the Cinéscénie, I regret any change implementation stage but it is subjective, but that remains the strong point of this story. Not to be missed! My brother-in-law to loved and my sister also. I'll be back this year, and believe me, I can't wait to be there!

  • It is an atypical amusement park because there is that of the show with a lot of games players excellent all around several time of our civilization (viking, medieval, empire Romain)

  • Magical place, but you need a minimum of two days which is reasonably priced to get to see everything. We will return next year PG to finish the whole experience. Language not really a barrier to understanding the stories as most are familiar to you. Food also reasonably priced, but bring your own picnic if gluten free. Camping on site with electricity very reasonable price.
  • Have been there many times. A fabulous place to visit. Haven't tried the themed hotels but would love to. Love this place Don't expect theme park rides cos u won't get them. So much to see and do. Shows u so much of French history. Definitely a place to visit but get there early. Def a full day and repeat visit needed
  • What can I say. It's a theme park without any attraction for the children. Although they were delighted the whole day. If you go visiting the "Puy du Fou" you need 2 days (or 3 if you can) and of course sleep in one of the park's resorts. Your child will love sleeping in a Castle, a Renaissance Castle, a Siege camp, a Roman villa or the Clovis house on pilo. Yes eating in the park is costly but at least it's fresh and good. I don't say anything about the show but I believe that being named 2 times in a row "Best Theme Park in the World" should be enough. Don't hesitate, visit the "Puy du Fou".
  • Most amazing plays and shows with good moral lessons. Stunts are incridible! With the price if the ticket, you wouldn't expect such quality, and boom! You get blown away by the fantastic performance of the cast. All shows are in French though. The Puy du Fou app is useful for translation and organizing your tour. It takes two to three days to really appreciate all the wonders of the park. Enjoy!
  • It is a must visit theme park. The actors are excellent and the management of the park are super ! The shows are super excellent. It is a place of history and it's natural environment is so welcoming and relaxing. I love the park and so do my family. Never tired of going there 👍💖💖
