We came on Tuesday and despite the fact that we have arranged our schedule to come here late in the day (report to the tides), there was unfortunately no bird outside coots. Well, there's nothing we can do but you know even when that happens and as say you that walking 2-3 hours (about 5km) in the middle of almost empty waters was very boring. We walked to the large Observatory overlooking the basin (No. 13 I think) and then we went back on our steps (because the second half of the Park is much less interesting). Although sad, landscapes are of course lovely and well preserved. Note it's very hot in the middle of the swamp weather, therefore, remember to take water with you especially with children. This walk has allowed us to see that the coastal trail (access right next to the reserve) runs along a large part of the reserve and the Eyre, while taking advantage of the passage of boats (at high tide) with a great view of the pool at the end (to do feet o) u to bike).

Très belle promenade de 3h dans ce lieu préservé de l'homme. Bien conçu avec de nombreuses cabanes pour voir les oiseaux. Prévoir des jumelles sinon peu d'intérêt. N'espérez pas voir tout les oiseaux ... more »Very nice walk three hours in this place preserved human. Well designed with many cabins to see birds. Provide little interest or binoculars. Do not expect to see all the birds indicated it depends on moments of the year but also the day and be patient to enjoy. Information panels are installed on the course and to better understand the place. A beautiful place to relax
I would give the nature, birds, and blinds a 5 star. But my interactions with the humans were disappointing. Over the phone they were impatient with my broken French, therefore I missed the guided walk. The following day I requested to place my bike just past the ticket office because I didn't have a lock. The restaurant said "that's your problem not mine" and the ticket office denied my request with corporate inflexibility. I didn't have to speak perfect French to feel disrespected. All should visit this reserve, but do so without special requests.
It is a peaceful place to see wildlife and take pictures. The receptionist spoke German and French. Need to be inside the reserve 3 hours before closing time because it is so big. There was free Wifi, restroom and a small cafe.
Million of birds. Lot of hides. Very nice nature
Superbly appointed reserve. The alternate course shaded paths and duckboards, meanders among the reed beds, straddles the meandering streams, along the ponds... The observatories are well located, well equipped. A great time to relax, to spend hours to sharpen, twin or camera in hand, or just to walk in the nature.
Very nice place to wander as observatories which are highly integrated to the landscape property. Very relaxing. A new observatory to took place at number 2 of the plan at 5 meters high the view is superb.
