Château du Taillan, Le Taillan-Medoc
(4.1/5 based on 80+ reviews on the web)
Located on the banks of the Garonne, Château du Taillan has been in the winemaking business since the Middle Ages. In fact, the Knights Templar are believed to have made their own wine here. The current owner's family has presided over the business for more than 100 years. Their vineyard specializes in merlot, because the grape does so well in the region's clay-limestone soil. Take a tour of the winery, which covers the history of the castle, as well as its 16th-century cellars, and taste its acclaimed wine. • The tourist office have two wineries of with tasting visited Chateaux Tallain was the second. Unfortunately, can man the Castle no visit. The wine cellar in an ancient monastery already. Was impressive. The first Winery in Margaux was something new for it had beautiful castles and manor houses in the area. The same was told at two tastings. When the Châteu breton skin larigaudiere 1 Winery we found the wine and the lead better and less on mass processing trimmed. The afternoon has 38 euro... with city 32euro pass cost. Has from 13.30 - 18.30 incl. bus ride and two wineries wine tasting... cost. Would come back.

  • We did the tour step by step, it was really very friendly. The person who made the visits we explains everything and is a passionate of the Médoc and the owner family is very nice. In short a great time that I recommend and that will become a staple when knowledge will come to Bordeaux. And of course, the wines are delicious!
