Ocearium du Croisic, Le Croisic
(4/5 based on 460+ reviews on the web)
At Ocearium du Croisic, the world’s marine creatures glide and sprint through their watery environments. Walk through the underwater tunnel and feel as if you’ve become part of the aquamarine paradise, which is inhabited by exotic fish, rays, and sharks. Then, if you just can’t get enough of those sharp-toothed predators, visit the Australian Shark exhibit. A million liter (264,172 gal) tank is home to these massive kings of the sea. The penguin exhibit offers an amusing counterpoint; in a predator-free environment, watch the tuxedoed birds slide, flap, and play with each other and--if you’re lucky--you. • Ideal to do when it's raining or if it's too cold outside. The teams are very well trained. The aquarium is large you can spend two hours without realizing it. The fish are very varied and many species.

  • Indeed this aquarium seems made by enthusiasts, the point being sometimes elitist: a degree in marine biology is necessary to fully appreciate the diversity of the species. And so I understand the comments disillusioned visitors coming with children of 5 years to the hours when the hallways are crowded. But come to the opening and indulge in contemplation alone or almost splendid pools of sharks and rays, let the bars you get around in the tunnel, then return detail every small aquarium, full of surprises inaccessible to visitors in a hurry or sensitive only to the spectacular.

  • I liked this place as a kid and still do. It got bigger and more interesting but it's still the one thing I always have seen in it - a fantastic window to a wonderful world beyond the surface.
  • Good to see if somebody was never in Oceanarium. Perfect for children.
  • Amazing experience
  • I like it
  • This is a very good aquarium, the shark tanks are amazing, the end wall of the tank is glass with theatre style seating, the rest of the aquarium certainly won't disappoint either.
