Musée Bonnard, Le Cannet

3.7
#1 of 9 in Things to do in Le Cannet
Musée Bonnard is located in the heart of the town of Le Cannet and is the first museum to be dedicated fully to the works of the artist Bonnard. The museum is housed in a five floor villa and majorly displays paintings by Bonnard and sometimes also by the artists who later drew inspiration from him. The museum is situated well along a line of old buildings and is must visit for art lovers. Bonnard's work displays the life of the Riviera and is admired by people from all over the world. The staff of the museum is courteous and charming and the information cards are mostly in French and English both. • I went for the temporary exhibition Bonnard, Vuillard. Museum nice, works are well hung and lit.

  • Beautiful exhibition in a museum was very copious. Friendly hotel offering reductions systematically according to your status. However comment d a pedantic nerd nickname, accompanying the film, of the most incomprehensifs.

  • Well furnished museum. Not very big. Would also be nice if they also had text in English. If only on a ticket when you loose can take them.

  • What a horrible experience! The museum is small, dark, with very few paintings. You will have to circle for an hour to find parking... And the worse is the security guard at the entrance who was rude, unprofessional and insulting! He made horrible comments about my wife who didn't speak English and started an argument. Of course, the staff watched but didn't say a thing. Mediocrity at its worse.
  • Was there in the inauguration and a few times afterwards - also really easy access with a wheelchair - opposite a really nice place for lunch or a cup of coffee / handmade chocolate....
  • A small selection of Bonnard's work in the permanent collection. The building and display is great for both permanent and temporary exhibitions. Really lucky seeing an exhibition in cats and dogs in Bonnard's work this summer (2016). Shame for the bad experience of a bully security guard and a distracted receptionist spending her time on te phone rather than making sure visitors are all right....
  • A small charming Museum with a collection permanent of Pierre Bonnard, at the moment a parallel with his great friend artist Vuillard. On the heights of Cannet, le Cannet. Easy by bus. Do not miss. Banned pictures. Too bad.

  • During heritage weekend we visited the bonnard Museum in Los Angeles. As a result of the various opinions posted by users we preferred to wait the Museum free to enjoy, and fortunately. The combination of modern and old building does not reflect the work of the exhibitors. Parts 60 square meters on three levels, for the most part correctly provided in table have found it hard to meet me. It doesn't nothing Mr. Bonnard work which I'm not very fan but I and hoped something else
