Niché au coeur d'une BELLE forêt Solognote ! ! ! !........ Même s'il est un peu à l'ombre de ses grands frères tels que Chambord, Valencay ou Cheverny => il MERITE LARGEMENT le DETOUR ! ! ! !............ more »Nestled in the heart of a beautiful forest of Sologne...! Although it is a little bit in the shadow of his older brothers such as Chambord, Cheverny or Valencay => it merit than the DETOUR!!... Also Bernard Buffet is to have "bitten fingers" in his time! ............. We did visit many times to our friends and family, including Americans, visiting us... This time it was a wonderful family visit, 3 generations together, and we have our small children discover! ........... It also gives the impression of coming to visit family, "our ancestors"! .... In addition, arriving in late afternoon, we had the chance to make a "private visit" with a charming, passionate and exciting Guide thank you very much... Certainly, it is not very big, but very pretty and very richly furnished!!... Witness of the past and the "dynasty" of Marcheville... Dommmmmage not be able to take pretty pictures inside... Some beautiful Statues on the lawn in front of the Castle... A pleasant walk is a must in the old rose garden! ...... We were a little bit disappointed by the "Conservatory of the strawberry", although very informative for the younger a little regret => more swans on the moat there.. .it gave him even more charm!

After discovering the most prestigious and for which all the "advertising" is made, we are expanding our curiosity and are not disappointed at the smaller! And here, we appreciate the visit of these little pearls, little mentioned but which delight! When we have an exciting guide, nothing for us, it's really the most, as this was the case last Tuesday! Thanks to her. It is necessary to promote these 'small' castles which deserve a visit and who do not leave indifferent visitors!
Very charming chateau! Smalll but very fine 👌
This was one of 8 chateaus in the Loire Valley. We felt it was a bit of a hidden gem. It is quite removed and feels serene and peaceful. We always especially enjoy the chateaus with water, and this one is quite picturesque. Worth a short stop.
Visit Museum and outside date for 7 euros. We were all disappointed. Virtually nothing in the garden. Four signs in what is called the Museum. Were able to tour the Castle and take some pictures of the Château, which is very beautiful. I recommend to make the tour completely with the guide otherwise forget.
Beautiful private castle. It can be visited by appointment with the family who runs. The guide explains the times, furniture. .... Richly decorated. An excellent visit.
While I live in expensive and Dormouse, it's only the week after that I discovered the castle of the mill and the Conservatory of the cutter during a group tour. One regret the Sun was absent to illuminate the facades of red brick. M. of Marcheville himself and a young guide made us discover the treasures of the castle: furniture exception, tapestries, and utilitarian objects or decoration. One small problem: the unique health somewhat Spartan. We can't wash their hands and the lock is not working from the outside.
