  • See the weather to enjoy the visit which we recommend should be done with a guide. Alone will make you talk to the ruins of the Abbey otherwise you may miss out on the principal unless you are an expert on the history of Brittany. The comments of the guide will interest you through anecdotes and historical passages allowing you to retain the essential. Don't worry the guide puts within reach of all. We had the chance to see the ruins decorated by students in the horticultural school of Hanvec, so colors graced the magical aspect of the site. A visit to pair it with the ship's graveyard, the small Museum of honey after (free) Térénez bridge, visit nurseries and the brewery of Térénez Saturday for example, or during the week in summer. Rate visit € 5.5 full fare adult. Museum and exhibition + ruins. Closed from 05/11 to 01/03

  • I discovered the ancient links between Kells (Ireland) and Landevennec that I didn't know about. The very exhaustively documented exhibition of "on the footsteps of Brendan - sur les pas de Brendan" w...  more »
  • We were pleasantly surprised by the visit of the old Abbey. There is now a nice exhibition on Brendan and the secret of the book of Kells (I'm a fan of this wonderful cartoon). The expo is well suited to the place and like children. Since these are the holidays, workshops are held every afternoon to introduce to children calligraphy, the manufacture of masks in plants... Meanwhile, adults are entitled to a tour with a very enthusiastic guide (who is so keen to share his knowledge that he speaks very quickly to say the maximum!) Of course it is better be interested in the story because the Abbey has survived the centuries since the beginning of the middle ages. Small special mention for the students of Châteaulin that occur with great taste, decorated in the colors of autumn. Thank you for this beautiful, completely unexpected visit.

  • Hmmm... The price is high for what it is... after it is surely a matter of means and the will to grow... it is just be me...

  • Very beautiful. Relevant tour

  • I advise against this visit. I don't mind whether it's a private, place funded solely with money from tours, but it prevents that for the price, tourists could received more modern infrastructure. Everything is in its own juices... information boards are old, boundary erased, the Museum seems to have remained unchanged for decades. Simply not much to make the place nice and playful... but despite the announced advertising, it cannot be that disappointed.
