  • Superb ride off season to the dune of Pyla, already world in November so I guess in the summer we climb on the sand dune the stairs were closed once beautiful top views of the basin, the arguin bench and cap Ferret! Beautiful and great for the kids!

  • A few kilometres from Arcachon found this wonder of nature is accessible from the beach in Pyla sur mer (but it is a nice effort going up it all) or from behind, where you can find ample paid parking and a whole host of souvenir shops and bars. The climb is facilitated by the presence of a wooden staircase. I visited in July and November, certainly in the summer is much more crowded while in autumn you appreciate more the landscape and the quiet.

  • What a surprise when after a laborious climbing of the sand dune, it overlooks the ocean and the Arguin bench! Wow! We can take children annually, they are always happy and we also, you take full eyes!

  • A huge ~108 m sand dune backgrounded by a large forest. Reaching the top is possible from both sides of the dune (stairs and sand) once on top the view is breathtaking. Must visit.
  • Great place to visit in the area. My wife and I took a half day tour from Bordeaux to Archachon which included a walk up the dune and then oyster tasting which was great. The dune itself has fantastic views across the bay
  • It's much harder to climb up or down than you might expect. Not a good activity for anyone with back, foot, knee, or heart trouble. Always an amazing view at the top. This was my 3rd time here but the first time I went all the way down to the beach and found the old bunkers. Winter or summer, this is always a good place to visit for locals of tourists.
  • This is incredible and a definite must-see! Come here before sunset and enjoy a spectacle you will always remember!
  • Great place to see the amazing nature. Enjoy sunset. A must go place.
