Cascades du Sautadet, La Roque-sur-Ceze

4.1
#2 of 10 in Nature in Gard
Explore the natural beauty surrounding Cascades du Sautadet, where waterfalls and rock formations draw visitors. View the interesting rocks around the river's edge, as well as some formations in the middle of the water, like rock islands and peninsulas. Picnic, climb, take natural outdoor photographs, or simply go for a swim. The water ranges from shallow to somewhat deep, so parts of the river are suitable for wading and for children. Other parts are deep enough to jump into from the rocks above (although it is potentially hazardous). Plan a La Roque-sur-Ceze trip in moments using our itinerary builder.

  • to flee in July and August! that disrespectful rednecks... and a municipality that is content to collect the price of car parks without a minimum of security, social peace and cleanliness! off season.. .that of happiness! and there is room out of the paying car parks!

  • What a joy to arrive on site after having avoided paying 4th for a single parking! Beautiful view when we don't look on the ground there, it's a disaster! How can people be so of the pigs? Butts of cigarettes by the thousands (I kid you not a moment, it is ' has absolutely everywhere on the site) and feces with their pretty paper stained on the entire length of the trail leading to the Bank of the stream! So do pay 4 euros to enjoy a windfall of an exceptional site, it is understandable though a bit strong coffee but leave this place at the mercy of waste of all kinds, there isn't! What a pity...

  • To visit during a stay in the corner very pretty waterfall place soothing and pretty village nearby (the rock on Cèze). Downside: parking € 4

  • Cool...
  • Super
  • Beautiful place, waterfalls and cliffs to jump to the top. There is also a more accessible Beach for parents with small landscaped area. The landscape is splendid. Do not forget that it remains dangerous on the rocks and stay vigilant with children.

  • Beautiful place, very damaged by natural erosion. If you want to swim there will be proper shoes because there are rocks and it's very slippery. Small sandy coves are accessible with a bit of a walk. 4 euros the day of parking is really reasonable (go see prices in major cities and you will understand)

  • Very disappointing... There are much too crowded and the place is really dirty! People are disrespectful... There are plenty of papers, cigarette butts everywhere, nauseating odors... the parking is too much for the number of visitors that can host the site. Swimming is prohibited but everyone bathes?!
