  • I have already come to the distance several times, each time the charm operates. The site first merit the glance with the Castle perched on its rocky peak, overlooking a few surrounding vineyards and this small typical village whose only handicap is to be at the end of the coast of Beaune. The architecture then, that mixes the pleasure with elements of Castle Palace, very impressive and well preserved. Roofs of colorful tiles are among the most beautiful in Burgundy, although they do not have the magnitude of those of the castle of the Hospices de Beaune or Meursault. The visit to the guard room, kitchens, the reception room and two rooms allows to admire some beautiful furniture, kitchen and table utensils. In short it is a journey in time and history, and its creator, Philippe Pot, would be happy to know that if the heir of the Carnot family has had to sell the property to a foreign Fund, the Castle and all its furniture have been entered in the inventory of Historical Monuments, which should prevent any sale or damaging development. A nice visit for young and old.

  • Amazing reconstruction of a feudal Castle by a student of Viollet-le-Duc to the son of president Sadi Carnot, late nineteenth century. The Interior is both inspired original, but with all the modern comforts of the time of its reconstruction. Amazing kitchen. Nice view of the region.

  • Visiting this out of the way chateau was a wonderful way to infuse our drive with local color. The hilltop chateau is spectacular. Entry fee was about $9 each but well worth it, There is a self guided...  more »

  • Stopped off here for a couple of hours during a wine tasting tour. Lovely place, and has an air of magic about it. I could have spent hours, if not days, exploring.
  • Beautiful from the outside but the guts are poor and too small for the price you pay (8 EUR or 6 EUR for kids)
  • The young lady taking the tour was careful to stress the tour would only be in English if no French speakers joined us; fortunately, our party of three were the only ones who arrived, so she was kind enough to give us a personalised tour! The chateau is absolutely stunning, with beautiful views both inside and out. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about every room and all its items - she did an amazing job. It really was a pleasure to visit! Fair notice: some staircases go pretty high, and some parts of the self-guided tour aren't for anyone with a fear of heights.
  • We visited this castle on a guided bike tour, great experience !
  • Lugar lindo com uma história única.
