  • Currently under construction, it is the staple of La Rochelle. A lot of boats and the crowd on sunny days. Plating of restaurants and bars...

  • For a long time I wanted to check out already, the port of La Rochelle, now it finally worked. I was there a sunny weekend in November. The port is picturesquely beautiful, the city itself is also... and then even the problem: the city was pretty crowded with tourists (apparently mostly Wochenendtouristen from France). On the cours des Dames joins a tourist restaurant on the other. High level of the restaurants in La Rochelle is right hoch...aber that is another issue. Very interesting are also the fortifications of the Vieux Port. In the port itself, too many sailboats were for my feeling. This was the old port a little of its historic flair. Oh yeah, parking I have aquarium in a parking lot at the Quai Louis Prunier in La Rochelle. I was pleasantly surprised by the parking fees there. I would not count on such a tourist destination with low prices.

  • Dog friendly. So well maintained. Beautiful restaurants and cafes everywhere. A delight
  • One of the most beautiful, happy places I have ever been. Historic buildings & one of the oldest ports on the Atlantic. Grab some gelato & sit on the dock just enjoying the French scenery, even had a ferris wheel when I was there in the summer!
  • Lots to see and do
  • Excellent chill time for our anniversary 2015.
  • très beau
