  • Actually I didn't like this Museum at all because I didn't expect at all to this! It is true that there is a lot of publicity about this Museum, with the exception of the building, is a mansion, we must look at tables on the Indians and I would say that the content is especially the theme of America. Compared to the Museum of natural history which lack of space, in this one there are plenty! In fact, in my view, is not a museum but rather an exhibition

  • very nice Museum, composed not only of paintings but also in the history of relations between the France and the United States, not to mention what binds us, including the construction of the statue of liberty. On the first floor take the time to stop and see a documentary on the seat of the city, and the famous painting of Paul Motte

  • Nice Museum in a former mansion. It tells the relationship between the France, la Rochelle, and the Americas, slavery, the Caribbean colonies, the native Americans... All explained on large panels. Objects, tables, furniture are presented in the many rooms of the Museum, on 3 floors. A must see.

  • A very interesting museum with history focused on La Rochelle and a perfect way to spend a rainy day.
  • Very Interesting
  • A small but elegant place
  • Interesting Museum, with a diverse collection. Only downside: move silently will be complicated: such parquet of character tends to claim his presence in places! Place of exception in the city center. Visit for history lovers or for those who wish to learn more.

  • A highly interesting and richly endowed Museum. The memory aspect is present. Explanations on what was the adventure of the new France are accessible and interesting.
