  • It is great to see the work of the pioneers of weather of the sea and their courage (see especially the video of bee particularly impressive Flanders). Everything is true of to different bunks engine room through the checkpoint. Kudos to La Rochelle to we show this in not forgetting a drink at the bar at the end of the visit

  • Visited 4 with our two children of 12 and 9 years old who have adored. The tour is well done, a lot of explanatory and didactic panels give a special interest in this former weather ship which provided, before the era of satellites, all data necessary for transatlantic flights. We identify easily with the lives of the sailors and the re-enactments are very realistic. Furthermore you also access the land Museum with fascinating exhibitions and a shuffleboard game that us fun. Finally, a workshop "sailor knots" will teach you how to tie definitely everything that you never knew attach way Captain Haddock! Icing on the cake, friendly staff at the entrance and even the staff in charge of maintenance gives information on the boat! A nice tribute and two very interesting. Experience to be renewed by taking his time to read all the tables (alas impossible with children who trample...)

  • Well worth a visit. Interesting insight into this meteorological ship and its personnel. Showed the layout of the ship and the different cabins, dining rooms, officers quarters and so on.  more »
