Zoo / Aquarium
At Zoo La Boissiere du Dore, see the oldest breeding male orangutan in the world, appropriately named Major. He was brought to the zoo in 1989 with a partner, Manis. This partnership was a great success and, as of 2013, the zoo has the largest population of orangutans in Europe. In fact, it is notable for its primate collection, complete with the apes known as magots and lemurs that climb through carefully maintained jungle environments. View the primates in well-crafted enclosures that give you a sense of their original habitats. • Flabbergasting. Huge space for the 800 wild animals there, and a great birds show.
  • Proposed activities are interesting for the whole family. The zoo says its mission of conservation of species and adheres to many reintroduction program in the natural environment. A small zoo, nice, clean, the animals are looking good.

  • Zoo friendly but expensive to spend little time. It arrives at the opening, ate locally and finished the tour around 1400. Fortunately there is a good playground for a longer time. In addition it as only a show. No seals or polar bears and other animals in the waters, what damage. Next time I just the afternoon.

  • We had found this zoo very well arranged and easy to visit, is not the greatest, but it's worth and the kids enjoyed greatly. The playground nearby to the restore point to make with children a well-deserved stop. Also very good welcome, thank you.
