Located in the municipality of La Barben, Chateau de la Barben is a castle that has been classified as a historical monument ever since 21st December 1984. Chateau de la Barben was originally the abbey of Saint Victor in Marseille, although no one really knows the exact era when it was constructed. Historians believe, however, that Chateau de la Barben was constructed before 1000 and owned by the Ponteves family.
