Categories: Castles, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
3.8/5 based on 300+ reviews on the web
This medieval castle with a flamboyant Gothic façade, Chateau de Josselin, is complete with gardens and a doll museum. You can tour the dining room in marvelous late 19th century style that is based on the Middle Ages. The castle has been the ancestral home of the Rohan family for 10 centuries. View the sculptures in the antechamber, with one by Auguste Rodin and two solid bronze candlesticks that were gifts from King Louis XV to the Rohan family. • following the guidance in the visit would want to move to live in the Castle! All maintained to perfection, from the garden to the Interior.

  • The visit is necessarily a guided tour of the ground FLOOR of the Castle, but worth it. The guide is pro. The castle is well laid out from the 16th to the 19th. The price is just a little high: €9 / person.

  • Scenery just beautiful and all so easily accessed, I absolutely recommend you visit and when you do you will want to go back again and again.
  • A beautiful castle and an amazing medieval city
  • Really nice walks and place to picnic. . Free entry to grounds chateau and sculpture garden
  • A must for every visitor to Brittany. Be sure (unfortunately only in French) join the Palace tour in the afternoon, even to enjoy the Park and the views from the castle walls!
