Col de la Bonette, Jausiers

(4.9/5 based on 240+ reviews on the web)
Col de la Bonette is a high mountain pass in the French Alps, near the border with Italy. It is approximately 2,715 m (8,907 ft) high. It is situated within the Mercantour National Park on the border of the departments of Alpes-Maritimes and Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. The road is the seventh highest paved road in the Alps.

You will see a signpost at the foot of the climb which reads "Col de la Bonette- 2802 m above sea level, highest road in Europe". This claim is incorrect for various reasons. It is, however, the highest asphalted road in France and is the highest through road in Europe. • Top the walk in snowshoes sheep and nature. A nice guide mild weather and a walk on the frozen... River again

  • It is the 3rd highest in Europe. To get there and go to view the breathtaking, 2715 meters you need to brave narrow roads, with the summer of many motorcycles and bicycles but also cars against sense. In short it is a little sports... Winter is often closed due to snow. The view at the top of the neck almost dizzy. Fans of big air, view to infinity, nature welcome. Not much to do up, if this isn't down on one side or the other.
