Built in 1857, Ile-Rousse Light House is an operational lighthouse built atop a square white masonry tower with a gallery and a green lantern. The land is almost an island surrounded by the Mediterranean and is connected to the mainland by a narrow isthmus. From the top you can see Monticello, the port, and Santa Reparata di Balagna.   • This is a really nice walk. If you're more adventurous it's fun to climb over / around the rocks. There are two lighthouses. Great for sunset
