Hendaye Beach, Hendaye
(4.6/5 based on 850+ reviews on the web)
In France's most southwestern town, right on the Spanish border, lay down a towel and sunbathe or enjoy the water at Hendaye Beach. From the beach, you can see the famed Jumeaux rocks, which have become an emblem of Hendaye. Some people consider the town a less expensive, quieter version of Biarritz; it's similarly picturesque but not as touristy. • The force of the waves of the Atlantic is quiet on the beach of Hendaye. This wide Bay will be a haven of peace, if you want to leave the strong waves of the basque beaches. The "twins" rocks North of the beach will remind fans of Rio "irmoes" of Ipanema and Leblon. Ideal for families but paying car parks for several years. Many Spaniards come to enjoy what this beach rather sparsely populated compared to the Concha of the center of San Sebastian!

  • Is a beach cool, with waves of size small to medium perfect for beginners. The only downside, the showers, that there is not many and even out of season leave one or two.

  • Very large sandy beach, wide enough even at high tide on its western part. Some algae from time to time. Moderate waves compared to the rest of the Basque beaches. However, it can be difficult to find a (paid) for his vehicle.
