  • It's a tough hike from 6 a.m. to 6:30 to go and return that requires good shoes and a sufficient form. Yet we borrowed the route starting from the Carolina fountain and joining the GR 20 col St Pierre, it takes longer but a little less difficult, I recommend it if you are an average shape. As say all reviews: on arrival is the wonder and an unforgettable coming reward the effort!

  • Pretty tough hike, provide good shoes that hang, about 6 hours round-trip by counting the pause picnic. Very good "licking: numerous cairns and yellow traces." Superb hiking. Starting from the forest cottage in the middle of the forest, 1 hour of quiet walk warm up. Arrived at the small fold, things are getting serious, the path becomes very steep along the rock (slippery in places but not dangerous) and long! Take your time, go at your own pace and do not go too fast! We often take small breaks (1 or 2 minute history of blow and drink qqs waterlogged). The landscape is already splendid... Once at the top, ecstasy... the beauty of the Lake, its pozzines and its wild horses... The effort is well worth it! The slap made up there is magic! Not to mention the view of the many peaks... SUPERB! The ground is also extraordinary, inside water, there seems to sink when you walk... and the purity of the turf... another world... DO AND A REMAKE!

  • If the first part of the hike is bucolic and lovely, from the fold the trail goes up very strong, limit climbing to the pass. Lake and his horses are sublime and reward efforts; do not do this hike in the rain because the rocks are slippery, we were surprised by rain on the descent into the fold, and it's very slippery! the sheepfold to protect themselves if necessary.
